The current economic condition in orlando florida has created a situation that has been unsustainable by many pool builders, made obious by the amount that have declared bankruptcy or have just faded away leaving the home owners holding the bag. The increase in everything needed to build a pool from the gasoline to get to the job to the insurances required by the state or the redundent safety features required from the federal govenment to the local municipalitys, have made pool construction cost an up hill battle to say the least. These current conditions and numerous others have created an unhealthy enviroment in the prices being advertised for even a basic pool, while material prices climb the average pool price has been reduced from 20% to 35% in a desperate attempt to wait out the economic down turn, and when the money runs out the only thing left is to close the doors. A home owner that has less than common sense ideas regarding the pool price is part of the problem and should subscribe to the saying, Let the buyer beware, in other words if it seems to good to be true it usually is and when the music stops hopefully you wont be left with out a chair, it’s been happening all over the country and will continue to happen, untill the current pricing of construction makes a move in a common sense direction. Remember quality never goes out of style, it just has to be paid for.
